Circular walk around St Abbs Head through the coastal nature reserve.
St Abbs is a 30 minute drive north across the border into Scotland. Definitely worth the drive and look forward to returning there.

Annie is our son's partner. She studies at Newcastle university and works at St James' Park.
Annie starts immunotherapy treatment in Germany today, hoping it will remove the inoperable tumour cells.
They are now fundraising for the second and third rounds of treatment.
Please share and donate if you can.

LONG POST but IMPORTANT
PLEASE READ

Later today Annie and I fly from Manchester to Germany, where Annie will begin immunotherapy treatment on Tuesday.

This is only possible because of all of you. We honestly cannot thank everyone enough for the donations, messages, prayers, support and kindness we have received. So many people have worked incredibly hard to help Annie and our family. I’m often brought to tears by people’s overwhelming kindness thank you 🩷

Annie continues to be well, and we have absolutely everything crossed for positive results over the coming months with this treatment.

A little update on where things currently stand financially: I know I don’t have to put this out there but I would like to so everyone can see how much their efforts are paying off….

• Private and international consultations have been funded by ourselves.

• Molecular therapy consultations and associated travel costs to Paris have so far been funded by ourselves but we are likely to need your help with these in the future .

• Advanced molecular testing for precision medicine was very kindly funded by a friend. We now have this testing completed and further treatment options have been identified, which is GOOD NEWS. The challenge now is gaining access to those treatments, which I am working very hard to make happen for Annie.

Immunotherapy update:

Annie’s first visit to Germany includes the creation of an individualised vaccine and the delivery of treatment over a two-week period.

All money raised to date has now been used for this first (and most expensive) immunotherapy cycle, including:
• Family Private donations
• Quiz Night fundraiser
• Hertford Party Night fundraiser
• GoFundMe primary fundraiser (this is now empty but I can’t reset back to £zero , it’s still live and you can continue to donate)

Annie will return to Germany in July for her second immunotherapy vaccine cycle, and fundraising is already underway for this, including:
• Athletico Manchester Ice Bucket / 3 Peaks fundraiser
• 50k in May Sponsored Ride
• Lower Heaps Car Boot
• HorseRox
• Pigmento Tattoo fundraiser
• Total Warrior fundraiser
*. Manchester AJ Bell Run

In August, Annie will travel for her third immunotherapy cycle and will also return to France for molecular therapy treatment.

Fundraising is going amazingly well and we are beyond grateful, but we will still need continued support for August’s treatment cycle, which we will need pay end of July If anybody has fundraising ideas or would like to help in any way, please get in touch. We really need people to step up and make things happen as soon as possible ! These larger fundraisers take time to plan as everyone who has helped in one before will tell you !

Thank you again to every single person supporting Annie. We truly appreciate every share, donation, message and prayer.

Annie and I will keep everyone updated from Germany ❤️

From Lisa (Annie’s mum)
