Don't miss a rare partial solar eclipse that will be visible from South Newington, Oxfordshire, on Wednesday, 12 August 2026. The celestial event begins at approximately 18:17 BST, reaches a peak obscuration of around 91% shortly after 19:10 BST as the Sun gets low in the west-northwest, and ends at 20:06 BST
(Eye Safety: Never look directly at the Sun without certified protection. Use genuine eclipse glasses conforming to international standard ISO 12312-2, or project the image using a simple pinhole method)

Join The Sealed Knot as we explore what it was like to live, and fight during the English Civil War.
Spend the day exploring our Living history encampment and taking part in our activities and arena displays including the grand battle finale.
Witness the spectacle of a battlefield complete with hundreds of infantry, artillery and cavalry troops as the Parliament army attempts to take this Royalist stronghold.

We now have larger 430w solar panels available to charge Portable Power Stations or batteries. (Ask if you want to try one, as only to be moved by the CL owner!)
NOTE: if you want to charge your Power Bank you will need to bring a lead specific for your powerbank eg MC4 solar connectors to want ever your plug is on your power bank. (we do have a battery clip lead you can use to charge 12v batteries)
