Pasture-raised beef, straight from our farm in Hook Norton 🐄🌱

Our Aberdeen Angus cattle are raised slowly on diverse pasture, grazing fresh grass every day and living exactly as cows should — outdoors, moving regularly across the farm and exhibiting their natural behaviours.

By mob grazing and rotating them frequently, we’re not only improving animal welfare, but also building healthier soils, encouraging biodiversity, and naturally fertilising the land. It’s regenerative farming that benefits both the environment and the food on your plate.

The result?
Beef with incredible flavour, natural marbling, and packed with nutrients including Omega 3, Vitamin A & E — all without growth hormones or unnecessary additives.

Fresh pasture day for the hens 🌱🐔

Moving our chickens onto fresh grass gives them the chance to scratch, peck, dust bathe and forage just as chickens naturally should. The fresh pasture also provides a varied diet alongside their feed, while their manure helps return nutrients back into the soil and fertilise the field naturally.

It’s all part of how we farm here at Lower Nill Farm — working with nature, not against it.

This is what you’re supporting when you’re part of the Lower Nill Egg Club 🥚🚜

Farming’s full of big emotions. Woke up this morning to two calves - there is nothing purer than this. Two hours latter one running and suckling with mum the other put to sleep. Both girls, both incredibly beautiful, sadly one had organs outside!

A reminder we’re selling Tulips at the farm today from 11-2pm in aid of Chippy larder and Hooky Pantry.

It’s been a while!

Last year the kids and I planted a load of Wyndham Tulips (my fav obvs). They are a late double petal variety but what I love best is they smell of sweet wine.
If you fancy come and buy a bunch with all proceeds of this going to and hook norton pantry.

We will also have our farm produce available to buy, so yummy pasture raised:

☘️Aberdeen Angus Beef
🐝Honey
🥚Eggs
🍎Apple Juice

Plus some flapjack which is semi famous 😉.

We can go for a walk, chat about cows, grass, cows, calves (maybe spot one), cows, bees, cows trees, take in a view or just listen to the birds….or look at the cows.

Forecast looks ok for this Sunday 19th April 🤞
We will be here from 11-2 ish.

Do let us know if you fancy it. ###
