Perfect way to end a surfing day- having tea watching the big lads ride the waves right into the night. It was dark and they were still going- amazing! Big thanks to sudssurfschool for another super surf lesson! 🌊

We have had reports that the steps rising from the beach on the East side of Sandend bay are damaged. They are still currently open and Aberdeenshire Council have been notified.
Please take extra care if using them.

Gerry and His Pacemaker are here again tonight in the cafe SANDS Cafe & Deli Sandend from 6pm-8pm.
We are serving the below menu from 5pm:

🥪SANDS Club Sandwich (£13.95): Triple layer toast with Downies of Whitehills breaded fish goujons, lettuce & tomato, served with crisps & slaw (choose tartar sauce or ketchup!).

🫒’Posh Picky Bits’: Scottish cheeses, fine cured meats, pâtés, fruits & local pickles with artisan crackers, rustic sourdough bread. Great for one or to share! (Solo £10.95 / Share £15.95)

🥔Loaded Hot Baked Tatties (£9.95): Local baked potatoes loaded with Honey Chilli Chicken, Scottish Cheddar, or Tuna Mayo - served with crisps & house slaw.

🧸For the Wee Ones: Kids’ portions available,
including the Kids Club Sandwich (£5.75) (breaded fish goujons on white or malted bloomer). Simple kids’ sandwiches are also available.

We have colouring in and some games to try and keep them entertained
🍰☕️Cakes & Hot Drinks: Plenty of fine pieces
and hot drinks ready to keep you cosy.

Last food orders 8pm sit in or takeaway.

Please be aware that we will be fully closed on Thursday, 22nd October 2026.

Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) have scheduled a planned power outage across the whole Sandend area from 09:00 to 16:00 while they carry out essential underground cable work.
As a result, all of our facilities will be closed for the day:

✨Campsite
✨Static Holiday Rentals

Normal operations will resume as soon as power is restored. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding!

🌙 NEW TRIAL EVENING MENU THIS WEEKEND

Over the past couple of months, we’ve been opening Friday and Saturday nights with burgers and curries. Thanks to your feedback, we’re trying out a fresh, lighter direction this weekend🫶
We really want to keep evening hours going to provide jobs for our brilliant young local team, so we’re taking it week by week to see how this new menu goes.
To give you an idea of what to expect, check out the flyer - though a few bits might be tweaked last minute by our lovely young cook as she settles into the new rhythm.
