⚽🧠 Quiz Night & World Cup Kick-Off at The Garden Arms! 🧠⚽

This Thursday, we’re combining the Quiz Night with the opening match of the World Cup as South Africa take on Mexico live from 8pm!

To make sure nobody misses the action, we’ll be running a shortened quiz from 6pm–7pm before kick-off.

The Wee Gamrie Kitchen will be serving some special World Cup treats:
🇿🇦 Traditional South African Vetkoek & Mince
🇲🇽 Mexican Nachos

We’ll also be keeping the kitchen open later than usual on Thursday evening.

Reminder that the shortened quiz is at 6pm tonight!

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 SCOTLAND LIVE AT THE GARDEN ARMS! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We’ll be showing Scotland’s first game live as they take on Haiti on Sunday 14 June, kicking off at 2:00am!

🎟️ Tickets: £10 cash per person - available at the pub
🍺 Includes your first drink
🌭 Hot dogs served during the game

Tickets are very limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis.

🎯 There will also be a “Guess the Final Score” competition, with a prize for the closest prediction.

Please note:
• Only ticket holders will be permitted in the pub after 12:30am
• The pub will close 15 minutes after the final whistle
• Transport within the village after the game can be arranged in advance

It’s a brutal kick-off time, so spare a thought for the barman… while you’re enjoying Scotland’s opener, he’ll be wondering whose bright idea it was to start serving hot dogs in the middle of it.

QUIZ NIGHT RESULTS

We had a great evening at the quiz night last Thursday! Ended off with everyone doing the Macarena! Martin proved to have the best dance moves!

Well done to all the teams and thank you all for the donations towards Gamrie Gardens CIC. £46 this week!

With Friday being World Environment Day the focus was on the environment - great to see how much our wee village and visitors know!

PAY IT FORWARD - one of our movie questions! A sad but heartwarming movie which started out as a book, then a film as well as a non-profit organisation established by the author Catherine Ryan Hyde! It focuses on promoting random acts of kindness. We challenge you to PAY IT FORWARD this week! Just something small.
