The Hidey Hoose Welcome to the Hidey Hoose, Banff, Scotland. It really is dog friendly 🐕 and totally secure with its 6-7ft granite walled garden.

Our beautiful luxurious 18th century cottage renovation is almost complete and will be available to guests from May 2026.

It’s great for us to see what our guests experience.
Here’s a few photos from our stay last night...We provide a selection of different plastic glasses so you can enjoy the hot tub without any worries about broken glass.It was so tranquil there last night, with the ivy-covered walls and the gentle sound of the bubbling water creating the perfect place to relax.

We've recently added a new outdoor light to make the entrance to the garden easier to navigate after dark, and our next task will be finding some beautiful lights to decorate the house and garden for Christmas. We think they'll make the setting even more magical during the festive season.

Pop-Up Shops are coming to Banff Castle this Saturday!

The Castle will be open for Doors Open Days Aberdeenshire on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September, from 10am to 4pm.

On Saturday, browse a wonderful selection of work from local producers in our Pop-Up Shops.

On Sunday, we are delighted to welcome Ian Williams and his remarkable One Man's Bayeux Tapestry for a very special one-day display.

There is plenty to explore across the Banff area throughout the weekend, with Banff Castle, Museum of Banff, Banffshire East Church of Scotland, Boyndie Visitor Centre, Portsoy Salmon Bothy and Portsoy’s The Granary all taking part.

With so much to see and do locally, why not make a weekend of it? It's all FREE!
