🎃👻 HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR – WE'RE STILL ON!

With the rather soggy and blustery weather forecast for tomorrow, we wanted to share a little update for everyone joining us at Halloween Spooktacular!

As things currently stand, we're planning to go ahead tomorrow, Saturday 24th October, from 4pm–10pm!

Here at Applewood, we're no strangers to the great British weather! We run outdoor events and welcome camping guests throughout the year, so we know that rain, wind and chilly temperatures can all be part of the autumn adventure.

Our team has been working hard behind the scenes to make a few adjustments to the event layout, bringing even more of the Halloween fun undercover into Orchard Barn. From our Devilish Disco and Little Monster Games to live music, street food and marshmallow toasting, we're looking forward to creating a fantastic atmosphere with lots happening together in one space! 🧡

Our Friendly Frights, Wicked Haunts and fireworks are also planned to go ahead, subject to conditions being safe on the day.

We're closely monitoring the Met Office forecast and actual conditions on site, and will continue to do so throughout the event.

If the conditions on site tomorrow make it unsafe to open we will make an announcement on our social channels and we will contact all of our guests directly with next steps.

Looking for something to do with the kids this half term? Come and stay for our Half Term Haunt 👻

From Wednesday 28th to Saturday 31st October, we’ve got a week of spooky crafts and Halloween fun lined up, and all the activities are included free with your stay. No booking needed, just drop in.

👻 WED 28th, 3–4pm: Create a boo-tiful ghost picture
🦇 THU 29th, 3–4pm: Make a bat-tastic hanging bat
🕸️ FRI 30th, 4–5pm: The wicked web workshop
🎃 SAT 31st, 11am–1pm: The Applewood Pumpkin Carve-Off (£5 per person, pumpkin included)
🍬 SAT 31st, 5–6pm: Trick or Treat Trail through the woodland

A LITTLE RAIN WON'T DAMPEN OUR SPOOKY SPIRITS!

We've spotted Saturday's weather forecast too… but don't worry, we're still getting ready for a SPOOKTACULAR evening at Halloween Spooktacular 🎃

Here's a little reassurance for everyone joining us this Saturday, 24th October…

🏚️ PLENTY OF UNDERCOVER FUN!
From our Devilish Disco and Little Monster Games to live music, fancy dress, face painting and street food, there's heaps of Halloween fun taking place undercover in Orchard Barn.

🌳 WOODLAND ADVENTURES AWAIT!
Friendly Frights and Wicked Haunts take place mostly along wooded trails, where the surrounding trees offer some natural shelter. Things could get a little muddy though, so wellies, waterproofs and warm layers are definitely recommended!

🎆 AND YES, THE FIREWORKS ARE STILL PLANNED!
We've spoken with our professional fireworks team, Dynamic Fireworks, who've confirmed that a little rain won't stop the show! We'll be keeping a close eye on the weather, particularly the wind, with everyone's safety our top priority.

So don't let a few raindrops spoil your Halloween plans. Dig out those wellies, grab your waterproofs and get ready for an evening of family-friendly frights, fireworks and plenty of spooky fun!
