Another lovely weekend in Romaldkirk. Loved our morning walk, someone needs their feet cooled!🌞 the village is getting ready for the annual village fete today, homemade cakes, Tombola, dog show and more 🐾😊. Pics to follow later!

What a wonderful way to spend my birthday weekend, enjoying some of the fantastic places just a short distance from Caroline Cottage.

After spending time in the cottage garden, which is looking beautiful and bursting with blooms, I tackled a little pruning before we headed to The Forresters in Middleton-in-Teesdale for dinner. This charming little French restaurant served amazing food, and our dog, Skye, was just as delighted with the extensive dog menu! She chose the chicken fried rice, and judging by how quickly she polished it off, it was definitely a hit!

This morning, we enjoyed browsing the indoor mart market in Middleton-in-Teesdale and couldn’t resist coming home with a few treats – dog goodies for Skye, delicious cheesecakes, and freshly baked scones.
