Our Story

OPEN ALL YEAR as well as being close to Croyde village, Combas Farm camping fields are the nearest permanent camping facility to Putsborough sands, the quiet end to Woolacombe Bay.

Camping at Combas Farm has been running for over 50 years. Previously with no advertising and only word of mouth recommendations, our campers come back year after year, some even going back three generations which says a lot about this very special place. The peaceful fields are tucked away in a secluded valley away from the hustle and bustle of Croyde, yet only a few minutes walk from the centre of the village and a 20 minute stroll to Putsborough beach. This is the perfect escape. Watch the stars at night and fall asleep trying to catch the sound of Putsborough’s crashing waves.

With several fields to offer, there’s plenty of space to pitch your tent or park your van. One field in particular offers the most spectacular view across the fields to Woolacombe bay and even Wales on a clear day! Five star facilities in a newly converted barn are a recent addition to the farm within the last few years. Slate work tops, traditional Belfast sinks, giant shower heads, fridge, kettle and spare sockets add a touch of luxury to the standard camping experience. This hidden gem is like no other and well worth a visit, if only for a night…
