Chagford Country Show ♥️
We love a country show and this is probably our favourite. A truly great day out for the entire family, with excellent food and drink, country skills and artistic flair on display, classic vehicles from Rolls Royce's to old, but lovingly maintained old tractors to fun fair rides. What's not to like?

Not a surprise for us. If pressed as to what was our favourite place in the whole of Devon (and that's a whole lot of county) Lynmouth would be our quick response. With it's steep wooded valleys with their fast flowing rivers running down to meet the sea at the gorgeous fishing village of Lynmouth, any visitor could easily see why it's known as Little Switzerland.
Only 40 minutes drive through lovely Exmoor countryside, and passing some fantastic pubs, it's a wonderful day out that we often do ourselves.

A really great family day out: funfair; circus; animal shows/demonstrations; horses...everywhere; great local food and drink; live music; huge craft fair; country fashion; and every agricultural vehicle from quad bikes to satellite guided harvesters. What's not to love!
And the weather will be perfect too. 😊♥️

Anyone who's been to Woolacombe will agree with this. One slightly negative comment in the article was to do with the cost of parking in the town. We have an easy answer for that: join the National Trust! Free parking all day at the big Marine Drive NT car park that runs parallel to almost the entire length of the beach. ♥️

Two of the UK's best beaches are in Devon, according to the list.

Our guests are in for an astronomical treat on the 12th August! Though we're just outside the edge of the Exmoor Dark Sky Reserve, we're close enough to be able to benefit from almost zero light pollution and to be able to really admire the night skys. And all from the comfort of a hot tub!😄♥️✨️🌠
