We like our guests to be at ease with their surroundings and to feel they can really relax. All our staff are friendly and knowledgeable and will do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. All our 32 rooms are decorated to a high standard, fully furnished with super comfortable beds, soft towels and soft cotton bed linen changed weekly or when requested, we also have a rather lovely bathroom featuring a full size bath and luxury bathrobes that guests can use for a soak after a long day exploring the Furness peninsula. We offer a full 24 hour turnaround laundry service and have secure storage for those wishing to bring Bikes, Kayaks, Canoes and Golf Clubs. 2020 has been a challenging year for us all given the Covid pandemic, but we are proud to announce we are fully Covid compliant, with our extremely high levels of cleanliness that are consistently praised across all booking websites and Google. West Point House was recognised as exemplary in its Covid 19 policy by Cumbria Tourism, and praised on the Visit Lake District website as being the perfect base to take your English “staycation”
We also have a large private car park that guests can use free of charge, featuring a double electric car charging port that is open to the public and residents alike, if you give us a shout we can make you cup of coffee whilst you are waiting for your vehicle to charge, or even give you the grand tour of West Point House and you can see for yourself how far we have come since it’s purchase in 2011- we love showing guests how much it has changed, it’s true to say it has been a labour of love, expense and (sometimes) tears but we are extremely proud of how it stands today.
