I write this not with a heavy heart, but an enlightened one. I have spent 4 years at Barry Yacht Club and I have put everything I could into the club.
I will always be grateful for the opportunity to showcase my food. I have been steadfast in my ethos of good produce at a reasonable price, something I am very proud of. I have catered so many genres of food, from club/private functions to establishing a successful breakfast and Sunday Lunch business. I would like to say such a heartfelt thank you to the people who have supported me, you have been such pleasure to serve and the feedback made everything worthwhile. I have seen the seasons come and go and lived and breathed this club from my heart. Dark mornings , late nights and everything in between. I have met some of the most amazing people and worked through the toughest of times that we have all had to endure. It hasn’t been an easy sail (no pun intended) but I endured the storm.
I am proud to say I opened the gates to the public and especially to Barry Island residents that had not experienced the club before and whom became regular customers - something I had as a firm goal.
It’s my time to move on and open myself up to new opportunities, but I wish the club every success in the future and all the very best of luck to future caterers.
The lights are dimmed at The Lighthouse - but not out ❤️
