June Sommelier Selection with Stuart Bond .runner 🍇

June is a month where the abundance of fresh food paired with wine can enhance those relaxed summer moments of longer days. For June, Stuart has selected Chatsworth Muscat of Alexandria 2023, Derbyshire, England.

“This wine has a beautiful pale orange hue. Expressive nose with aromas of white flowers mingled with Chatsworth orchard and citrus fruits.”

“On the palate the wine is rich, sweet and powerful, with a long finish full of finesse - Chatsworth Orchard in a glass!”

Paired perfectly with a dessert in The Gallery.

“Our approach to food at The Cavendish is simple: great ingredients treated with respect. We use herbs and vegetables from Chatsworth Garden and work with local suppliers like Moss Valley for our pork. So, dishes like our herb stuffed pork with white bean velouté and wild garlic pesto are led by seasonality and provenance.” - Rhys Blessed, Head Chef at The Cavendish Hotel

May Sommelier Selection with .runner 🍇

As the weather gets warmer this May, Stuart has selected Simpsons Rabbit Hole Pinot Noir 2024, Canterbury, Kent, England.

“This Pinot Noir has a ruby/garnet hue displaying strawberry and sweet spice aromas with delicate hints of mocha. On the palate it has ripe Black Forest notes with complex nuances of warm sandalwood and vanilla. It is perfectly balanced with an elegant structure and silky tannins.”

Paired perfectly with Chatsworth Farm Lamb Saddle from The Gallery Restaurant.
