Check in day for a returning family and their dog 🐾

On arrival, they can enjoy our regulating Sensory Corner, dog friendly extras (at no extra charge), plus all of our unique autism friendly adaptations 💙

And beautiful Bath, just 10 minutes’ away, has so many family friendly, autism friendly and dog friendly things to see and do too (more info can be found in our app when you book a stay).

New gifts for guests 🩵

At Sungate, many of our guests are parent carers and we want our guests to feel as relaxed and pampered as possible during their stay. Our complimentary gifts are an important part of their holiday experience, and so we’re always looking for ways we can work together with local businesses to make this happen!

We recently contacted our friends at The Somerset Toiletry Company to see what they would recommend for new complimentary hand wash and shower gels at Sungate. Their Naturally European range was the perfect choice, in keeping with our World Heritage location 🏛️

From this week, guests can enjoy essential oil bath products from this award winning range, in gorgeous ginger and lime and fruity freesia and pear fragrances 🍋🍐🌸

Sungate has two bathrooms - one with a bath with an overhead shower, and the other with a powder rain shower and wetroom floor, so plenty of opportunities to enjoy these! And not only do they smell divine, they’re vegan too 💙

Lots of sensory and safe equipment for check in today, including:

- travel cot
- Safe Place bed
- lockable nappy bin
- bed guard
- high chair
- Sensory Corner, including cocoon swing, whizzy seat, trampoline, crawl tunnel, hula hoops and egg chair

These extras are added on request, to meet individual families’ needs, and are included at no extra charge on top of all of Sungate’s unique autism friendly adaptations.

We have some dates left this autumn (Bath is beautiful at this time of year 🍁) and we are now taking bookings for next year. August 2027 is almost fully booked.

A special request for vegan complimentary cakes for check in today, and so we’ve provided almond milk for coffees too 💙

We’ve set up the Sensory Corner with swing, whizzy chair, hula hoops, floor mat and sensory toy box for the family to enjoy 🤸🎧

It’s the UK partial solar eclipse this week, and our World Heritage city has plenty of beautiful outdoor National Trust places for our guests to visit and experience this dramatic event, such as the Bath Skyline, Prior Park or the Royal Crescent. Or maybe they’ll decide to stay in and enjoy the view from our bay window seat!

Check in day for a family returning to Sungate for a third time 🥰

At Sungate, we personalise every booking, and our family today wanted Sungate to be extra spacious - so no Sensory Corner or egg chairs!

There’s still plenty for them to enjoy, including our unique sensory house adaptations (warm white dimmable lighting, low decibel floors, lockable bathrooms and kitchen, lockable cupboards, windows and doors, sound insulation, tamper proof fixtures, quiet fans, large smart TV, DVD player, fast WiFi and more) and our guidebook app, full of autism friendly places to visit in and around Bath.

This is what we love about Sungate - that we can meet each individual family’s needs and make them feel extra welcome, so much so they come back for another holiday! 💙
