The local artists of Barton Street.

Last night, our art curators James Dillon, .eclectic unveiled his latest artwork curation on our walls. Local artists as close as your neighbour have a place in our hotel.

With a small talk from one of our artists and the faces behind the art celebrating with us, fun Bathonian collages. Al Libby capturing still life’s from within our hotel. And a neighbour of ours, Agnes Po***ck, owner of gracefully hanging throughout the ground floor too.

Locals, friends and guests joined for the evening and it was a treat to host on a Friday evening. If you’re staying with us, make sure to take a moment, perhaps a coffee in the lounge. A negroni in the snug. And let the Bathonian creative flair be a part of your stay.

Before Bath became the city everyone photographs, John Wood the Elder drew it.

Queen Square, begun in 1729, was his proof of concept: seven townhouses designed as one grand composition, architecture conceived with mathematical precision and genuine ambition. He lived here, right in the middle of our hotel. Testing his theories against daily life.

His front door became ours. Three centuries on, we're still standing exactly as he designed us.
