This charming Grade II listed cottage is located in the quiet village of Beckington in Somerset, approximately 10 miles south of Bath. Well Cottage has 2 bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the second with 2 singles. There is a good sized kitchen with seating for 4, gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Tea and coffee are provided
The living room has seating for 4 w

ith a stone fireplace and wood burning stove. Mentioned in the Domesday Book, Beckington has over 100 listed buildings. Well Cottage dates back to the 17th Century when it was a weavers cottage and is named after the well that is still located in the undercroft today. Beckington has 2 pubs and a small delicatessen & coffee shop. There is a well stocked shop at the petrol station at one end of the village and at the other end, you will find the award winning White Row Farm shop.

Warm and cosy cottage with log burner and courtyard . There are 2 excellent pubs within 5 minutes walking distance and a superb deli 3 minutes away. We find it impossible to be negative about Well Cottage , there is so much to do in the area and a very good bus service if you decide to leave the car behind (use your bus pass).

Our most recent review:
"My husband and I stayed here with another couple for 3 nights. The cottage is tastefully decorated and well equipped with thoughtful touches like a few store cupboard items, free wifi and iPod docking stations. Autumn arrived while we were there but the cottage was cosy and there were extra duvets available (which we didn't need). The beds were very comfortable. It's an easy drive to Bath and there are plenty of nice places to walk nearby. The cottage has a personalised OS map which is really handy.
The village of Beckington is beautiful and both the Foresters Arms and White Row shop, cafe and restaurant are recommended.
The owners were really flexible about check in and out which is a nice change - no rush in the morning, and allowed us to make the most of our mini break.
We would stay here again."

well cottage is a comfortable well appointed holiday rental, it is within easy reach of major towns and cities which offer fine attractions and places off intrest for any one wanting a relaxing holiday. there was plenty off tourist information and pamphlets in the cottage which we used to our advantage. i would recommend well cottage to anyone who asked me about it

Enjoyed a short stay at this well equipped beautifully appointed cottage. The village is very friendly with a choice of nice places to eat and drink.
The nearby city of Bath is a lovely place to visit as are the surrounding areas.

“Fantastic little cottage with great character”

Surprisingly spacious kitchen/diner and fabulously comfortable beds. Very well equipped throughout. Parking easy on road at front of cottage.
Tip - pack your slippers - lovely original stone floor in living room a wee bit chilly on the toes!
