One of them is being just downstairs from The Olive Tree, Bath’s only Michelin Star restaurant.

Parking in Bath can be, shall we say, less beautiful.

Which is why our valet parking is one of those small-but-significant Queensberry pleasures. Arrive, hand over the keys, and let your stay begin without a lap of the city, a debate with a payment machine, or any unnecessary sighing.Valet parking is £24 per night when booked direct, compared with £33 per night when booked through an OTA.

If you are going to stay, stay properly.

This August, we have good availability in some of our rooms with a little extra sense of occasion — including our Junior Suites and Four Poster Suite.

Think Georgian proportions, generous spaces, slow mornings, comfortable corners and the sort of room that makes “just one night” feel slightly under-ambitious.

Our Junior Suites began life as Georgian drawing rooms, with high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and space to properly settle in.

The Old Q Bar is small, stylish, semi-secret and extremely good at making an ordinary afternoon feel like it has taken a turn for the better. Add the walled garden, a well-made drink, and a little Bath sunshine, and things become more persuasive still.

Our Head Housekeeper, Kathryn Lee, has not only been here since 1995 (she began in reception), she also epitomises a lot of what we’re all about. Heading up a motivated team, helping create memorable guest experiences, loving our independence and boutique feel, and fastidious about standards throughout, Kathryn loves Bath, live music and events (and chocolate). Thrilled that the hotel has won Best Boutique Stay in Somerset, Devona nd Dorset at this year’s Muddy Stilettos Awards.
