At the end of our campsite, you’ll actually find the start of Battle Great Woods 🌳

We’re lucky enough that our farm backs onto 460 acres of woodland. This means, if you’re up early enough, your morning coffee will most likely be sweetened by birdsong. Battle Great woods offers endless dog walking, horse riding and cyclists routes, giving you the perfect spot to head off for the afternoon with the kids!

For all of our fabulous guests, Battle Great Woods is essentially your back garden for your trip 🍃

How does a cooked breakfast, without the washing up, sound?? 🍳☕️

For all of our glampers onsite, we offer the option to add a cooked breakfast for when you wake up. Just make sure to either add it on when booking or let me know when you arrive and I’ll make sure we’ve got more than enough for you & your party!

Sometimes knowing you have a cooked breakfast waiting for you makes all the difference, especially if it’s been a late night with friends 😅🏕️

We set up Battle Pods & Bells with the aim to create unforgettable trips which allow you to reconnect with nature and go back to basics (comfortably). So no, we don’t have WiFi or electricity on site and yes, you have to cook over a fire (unless you order breakfast from us or eat from a local pub) and shower outdoors (albeit covered)!

Whilst sometimes it's hard to imagine, all of the above is genuinely what makes our little campsite so special 🌿

The facilities is often a talking point for campsites and glampsites… and not always for the right reasons 🫣

We wanted guests to feel like they were genuinely escaping, without comprising. So whilst we don’t have electricity in the pods or tents, everything else has been thoughtfully arranged. You’ll sleep well (on proper beds), shower properly (with hot water) and wake up to something we often forget exists; proper quietness!

Battle Abbey & Battlefield - open DAILY 10am to 5pm. You can walk through the actual battlefield where the Battle of 1066 was fought - literally on your doorstep!! Dog friendly, with a café & gift shop too.

Battle Museum - Deep dive into Battle’s history. A total hidden gem and completely FREE!!!

Battle Brewery - 5⭐️ Brewed just down the road with a taproom on the High Street. Perfect for a relaxed evening pint! (The New England IPA is highly recommended!!)

Sedlescombe Organic Vineyard - Just 5 miles away, you’ll find England’s oldest organic vineyard offering wine tours, tastings, and a dog-friendly café.

Hastings Country Park - Offering stunning free coastal walks with cliff paths, ancient woodlands and stunning sea views (honestly, you’ll forget you’re in England)!

The De La Warr Pavilion - A stunning Grade I listed Art Deco building on the seafront, hosting a range of art exhibitions, live music & comedy.

Hastings Old Town… Leaving the best until last! Quirky, characterful and packed with independent shops, cafés, antique stalls and great pubs.

We gave you a little sneak peek at our Bells… So we thought it only fair to do the same for our Glamping Pods 🏕️

Tucked alongside 460 acres of ancient woodland, we have four individual pods each sleeping two. They come furnished with a double bed and full bedding (again, all you need to bring are towels) and have their own outdoor seating area. We also offer fire pits to hire and logs to purchase 🔥

Offering the pods for individual bookings and groups (they’re fabulous for a friends get-together), our weekend availability is limited. Drop us me message to book!

Here’s a little sneak peak at the inside of our Bell Tents🏕️ Sleeping five, our tents come fully furnished with proper beds and full bedding - all you need to bring are towels for our outdoor (but hot) showers!

Perfectly pitched in our little sun trap surrounded by woodland, they offer the perfect glamping trip for those wanting to be immersed in nature but also still comfortable 🌞

We couldn’t have picked a better reopening day (last Friday). It was absolutely glorious… the sun was shining, we had bright blue skies and there wasn’t a bit of wind across the whole site🌞 Feeling very grateful to be back open & welcoming our fabulous glampers!!

…and to celebrate the season opening we had some new photos taken across the site 🌳

The sun is out and feeling slightly spring like today. Lots of bookings coming in for the glamping site.
We will be open from May 1st and can’t wait.
Looking for a night or two away, or a group booking for friends, family, big or small birthdays, hens, stags, you name it we cater for it.
