Morning reflections at Bamburgh Castle.
Bamburgh has been a power base for a very long time - the site was an Anglo-Saxon royal centre before the Normans rebuilt it in stone, and the castle is now Grade I listed.
That history is part of what makes this view work. Even in calm light, with the reflection doing most of the talking, it still has that unmistakable presence on the Northumberland coast. No need for drama - just sea, sand and one of the North’s most important castles.
