View of the 2022 dig behind the Priory. were here for their 7th year on the site with 3 more years to go. Some very exciting finds have been taken away for carbon dating. The curved stone 'wall' on the left of the image is part of a huge kiln that was used to prepare lime for the mortar used in the build of the 12c Priory of which the ruins stand opposite St. Mary's Church.
Our opening times for the Museum, Exhibition & Priory for Oct.7th-10th are 10-4.30, 11th, 10-1.30, 12th, 10-2., 13th, 10-2.45, 14th, 10-3.30, 15th, 10.30-4.30,16th,10.45-4.30. Please check the tide times carefully before visit Lindisfarne.

Handrails and decking are now being installed as the Union Chain Bridge scheme nears completion.
Restoration of the oldest vehicle suspension bridge in the world got underway in Oct 2020 + teams are now putting the finishing touches in place.
