Surrounded by rolling hills, Beaminster is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and features in Thomas Hardy’s Tess of the d'Urbervilles as ”Emminster" in the fictional Wessex. The cottage has been tastefully decorated with Farrow and Ball colours and has original flagstone flooring downstairs with carpet upstairs. Consisting of two good sized double bedrooms and one single, a sitting room

with wood burning stove, a small but well equipped kitchen, separate dinning room with study area and a newly fitted ground floor bathroom. At the rear is a good sized sunny cottage garden with a summer house and seating for alfresco dinning.

🦢 A visit to Abbotsbury Swannery is pure joy this time of year!
If you're planning a trip, mid-May to June is the perfect time to visit, as hundreds of adorable cygnets are hatching across the colony. Seeing these fluffy little cygnets up close is something truly special.

One thing that really stood out was how comfortable the swans are around people. It makes for some incredible close-up encounters with both the adults and their babies, creating unforgettable moments and amazing photo opportunities.

Set on the stunning Fleet Lagoon alongside Chesil Beach, Abbotsbury Swannery is unlike anywhere else in the world. With a history stretching back to medieval times, it's a unique blend of wildlife, nature, and heritage all in one breathtaking location.
