Eagle Brae is the first luxury self-catering development of hand made Canadian style log cabins anywhere in the country. Opened in August 2013, we provide a unique chance for guests to spend a week amongst the most scenic glens in the Highlands whilst living in remarkable buildings made entirely of giant hand-crafted logs. The wildflower-roofed cabins are sensitively blended into the surrounding b

irch-woods, spaced far enough apart to afford our residents some privacy whilst close enough to create a sense of community. Eagle Brae offers luxury self-catering and environmental peace of mind: all our energy is produced on site entirely by renewables. A micro-hydro scheme powers the domestic electricity and hot water, biomass burners generate the space heating and the water is sourced from a natural underground source. Situated in the heart of the Scottish Highlands just north of Loch Ness, we provide the perfect base from which to explore all of the Highlands area. Located just a few miles between two of Scotland’s most scenic glens, Glen Strathfarrar and Glen Affric, visitors have back door access to Britain’s finest remaining stands of pristine Caledonian pine forest, untouched since the last ice age
