Amazing how different you can feel with a little bit of sunshine.

We headed out today to try a new circular walk from Y Felinheli and it didn’t disappoint.

A lovely, family friendly walk, perfect for little legs, with some gorgeous views along the way. Plenty of places to stop for a rest or a picnic, if the weather is nice.

It really did feel like was in the air today, and a lovely way to finish off the Easter weekend.

Headed back to Beaumaris and as the sun was shining, we decided it would be rude not to make the most of it and have a drink at . So nice to be able to sit outside and relax in the sunshine.

Unfortunately (and much to our youngest’s disgust!) this isn’t the colour we will be going for when we re-render and repaint Cobblers Cottage at the end of 2026.

Colour is still to be determined, but hoping to tie in the colour of the cottage with some of the other beautiful colour houses in the town.

We’ve taken advantage of the beautiful weather today to walk from Pentraeth, along the beach through Red Wharf Bay to Benllech.
A gorgeous walk along the coast, with a reward of coffee, milkshakes and probably the best Victoria Sponge we’ve ever tasted (it was so good, we forgot to take a photo of it!)
A return journey, stopping en route for a drink in the sunshine. Well, with weather this good, it would have been rude not to!
Lovely to see so many couples, groups and families making the most of the spring sunshine.

Can’t believe the difference a few hours make!
Another gorgeous morning in Beaumaris so we headed out the door and turned right for another circular walk through Llanfaes then along the coastal path and back to Beaumaris. Beautiful Welsh countryside followed by coastal views. We couldn’t believe how mild the weather was for January. We’ve been so lucky with the weather this weekend which is one of the many reasons we love to visit in the winter months.
Fast forward a few hours later, and it’s wet and miserable heading back up the M6.

We’ve had such a lovely weekend making the house all Christmassy, whilst also enjoying

Despite the weather, this was fabulous community event. Well done the the organisers for their hard work. The drone show last night was amazing!

What a glorious day we had yesterday! A beautiful, bright, warm and sunny day so we decided to walk from the cottage to The views on the walk were stunning, making us appreciate even more how lucky we are to own . A warm welcome, followed by a delicious lunch and a couple of drinks before attempting the hill back up (it was steep, but so worth it for the views!) A lovely walk back to Beaumaris for an afternoon relaxing with a family film before heading down to the sea front to watch another fantastic fireworks display. Autumn days with family don’t get much better
