👇 Book here Kingslakes Holidays has a long history when it comes to coarse fishing being the first alongside places like Anglers Paradise to have been set up in the South West, and more specifically Devon. It was lovingly built over 35 year

s ago by the King family, originally with 4 lakes, and then passed hands to Mr and Mrs Langdown, who continued to ensure the site grew adding a further 3 lakes, before Stuart Braham bought the beautiful site and successful business. Set in nearly 40 acres of idyllic woodland, rolling green meadows and boasting 7 well stocked fishing lakes to include fish such as Carp, Tench, Rudd, Bream and Roach, the 10 converted stone cottages, 6 scandinavian style lodges and 7 luxury hot tub lodges have access to the serene surroundings where nearly everything you'll need to enhance the perfect holiday is either here on site or within a 20 minute journey. To name but a few.... Bude beach and canal, Launceston Keep, Dartmoor and Exmouth Moors, Cookworthy Forest, the Tarka Trail, local archery schools, horse riding centres, nearby shops, restaurants and pubs, swimming pools and indoor activity centres alike. Last weeks friendly competition held on nuthatch lake here at Kingslakes ( 26/8/26) .

A tricky day with the lake a little low, but another lovely day.
Thanks to all 7 anglers for taking part in a really enjoyable day( special thanks to our lady anglers Sam and Julie and to the supporting cast Karen and Tracey)

Results 1st Tim 15lb 6oz
2nd ( and the actual winner as I don’t really count 🤪) Dean Guess 14lb 9oz , all fish mainly caught on castor . A superb bag of fish .
3rd Julie walker 2lb 15oz,
4th Martin Whitehouse 2lb 4oz .
5th John Bartlett 2lb 1oz ,
6th Rob Walker 1lb 11oz ,
7th Sam Guess 11oz.
A close contest - congrats Dean on winning the day and also congratulations to Julie on winning the bragging rights from willow lodge.

Another beautiful day here at Kingslakes for this weeks friendly competition held on nuthatch lake (29/07/26) .

On a personal note what a pleasure it was to fish opposite and watch young Joey and Stanley today, what superb young anglers, fish care paramount and going about there business with pure class and a glint in there eye ( with some added cheeky comments to us old boys ) - The future looks bright for these two young men .😃. Aaron is busy at it again .., he managed to catch this lovely scaley mirror of 28lb 4oz from Kestrel on a short evening session, followed with a 33lb and 36lb the next day.

Successful tactics were an Atlantic heat wafter over house pellet and crushed boilie fished tight to the island margin.

INCOMING NEW COMPLEX RECORD MIRROR🏆

Danny Wonnacott managed to bag this amazing Grey mirror from kestrel at a staggering 39lb 2oz.
It was supplied from VS Fisheries in 2024 at just under 21lbs.

Danny was fishing a 12mm pineapple wafter over a kilo of 11mm house pellets to smash his personal best.

Great Angling 🥰🥰

A beautiful sunny day for this weeks friendly competition on woodpecker lake here at Kingslakes ( 8/7/26 )
9 anglers enjoying a superb social day .
Results
1st Tim 26lb 6oz a lovely mixed bag ( caught mainly on single red maggot with my usual delicate feeding used 3kg ground bait , sweet marine dark/ special g red mix , 2kg micro pellets, 2 pints of maggots , 😂😂🥵all available to buy at our on-site shop) 😃. Bumped as many fish as I caught 😂.
2nd and the actual winner as I don’t really count Mr David Davies 8lb 12oz ,
3rd Charlie (gutted) Cusack 7lb 3oz ,
4th Darren Adshead 6lb 15 oz ,
5th Nick Cutts 6lb 8oz,
6th Mike Berrisford 4lb 14 oz ,
7th (and not last for the first time 😃Hayden May 4lb 10 oz . John Cusack and Nigel Smith did not weigh 🥵🤪.
