Yesterday saw our last guests of season 2025 depart from a very snowy Springlake. Another very successful year, so a massive thank you to each and every one of our visiting guests, new and returning, for bringing Springlake to life.
The year brought many highlights and the summer weather was superb allowing all to just chill, makingthe most of our facilities, visit our wonderful beaches and places of interest in our part of the country.
Sadly, no luck with our visiting Owls this year and despite our best efforts they were deterred by the Jackdaws, however, we did have 3 baby Kestrels ringed who successfully fledged.
Those of you who are familiar with Springlake will recollect that we did have 4 resident sheep. Blossom, the last surviving sheep sadly died in August at the age of ten and a half years. She certainly wasn't the most sociable of animals but certainly the most vocal!
Attached below are a few captured images from the year including a drawn thank you note from children and the snowman from this wintry weather
Wishing you all a very Happy and Healthy 2026 and look forward to welcoming many returning and new guests from February half term onwards.
