The Royal Oak Beckermet

The Royal Oak Beckermet Pub and Hotel nestled in the village of Beckermet. We are a stones throw from the Lake District National Park the stunning Cumbrian coast.

The Royal Oak Hotel is now under new ownership. Joe and Rebecca Richards, with the help of their son William, have taken ownership of the Royal Oak Hotel. This is a new venture for all concerned after having previous experience within the industry we have decided to take the plunge with our own hotel. We both fell in love with the village of Beckermet and hope to become an integral part of the community.

The Royal Oak is looking for somebody to run their own kitchen/ restaurant business. Full commercial kitchen with currently a 36 seater restaurant although holds more for parties etc. previously a popular food establishment. Can also discuss the possibility of a shop which leads off the kitchen can be used for a bakery or takeaway option. Ideally looking for a chef that wants their own business. Bar will be run separately. No monthly lease fee to pay.

Thank you so much to everyone who turned up to our pie evening last night!

We loved seeing the restaurant back up and working again with lots of familiar face. Overall it was a resounding success and the evening was a hit.

We look forward to our upcoming events and stay tuned for another dining evening soon!

We are starting to introduce food theme nights back at The Royal Oak.

After seeing how popular our pies were we have decided the first one will be a pie night.

Saturday the 28th from 5pm-9pm

These are one off events and will not be returning to food full time as it currently stands.

Bookings taken now and we will be offering takeaways on the night.

All Pies come with Chips, Peas and Gravy.

This month we are doing a Pub Triathlon!

Don't worry this does not involve any form of exercise!

Pool, Darts and Dominoes.

Each player that enters will be drawn against another player, games will be then arranged amongst yourselves and played.

If you fail to play your match within a reasonable time you will be automatically disqualified.

Each Game will be first to 3 with the first to three scoring a point. The player with the most points will be then proceed to the next round.

The Semi Finals and Finals will be played on the 5th of Feb starting at 6pm.

Entry is £10.

Cash Prizes to third place.

Games to be drawn on the 13th of Jan at 7pm so entries taken up until this accepted. Sign up sheet in the pub.

Well what a year it’s been!

We would like to thank all of our customers that have come in to our little pub over the last year.

We have decided to take a little bit of family time and close the pub until Friday this week so we can have a little bit of time with the children.
