What a fantastic Sunday morning with Bath Paddleboard Centre. We wanted a little refresher and to help the mini mes build their confidence on the water, and it was the perfect session.
Just 35 minutes from By The Byre and only £25 per person, with parking, board hire, and an excellent instructor all included. Huge thanks to John for a brilliant morning!

Our Greater Spotted Woodpecker likes to spend its days hanging around our football field! Let us know if you spot it! We also have our Barn Swallows back roosting by our cottages. Hopefully we'll have some baby chicks really soon 🤫

They're growing! Our little moor hens are getting more adventurous! They've decided to hang out at Beckington Lodge, scaring our Great Spotted Woodpecker! 🙄

We love this time of year at By The Byre! Trees and grass are green and new life is appearing everywhere! Every year we have families of moorhens that have their little babies here but this year they've decided to make their nests near our house, so we too can enjoy them too! If you are staying in the next few weeks, keep your eyes peeled when you pop down to visit the chickens. So so cute!

Popped into the newly opened Wild Golf at Thoulstone park over half term. Everyone was so friendly! Kids had a great time and the little one even managed a hole in one on her very first hole!?! Will definitely be back! Well done guys!

Did you know we can offer a discount for Cheddar Caves, the same as Longleat? Or if you have annual passes for Longleat you can visit for free??

We've held Annual passes for Longest for several years now but over the summer we finally made it to Cheddar caves! On a very wet and windy day, we dodged the rain and visited the caves, museum, climbed Jacobs Ladder and bought Cheese and C***r! Perfect! It was also a day for reminiscing as the first Flat I owned was down the road (don't think the kids were impressed by the detour on the way home!) 🤣

We survived the Summer holidays doing the parent/working juggle!

We finished the afternoon off at Frome Boulder Rooms hiding from the rain! Great way to finish off the holidays (they still have the best sign ever!) 🤣🍬🪽

Lovely bike ride with the mini me's!
10 miles down the Kennet and Avon Canal path from Bradford-on-Avon to Limpley Stoke.

We parked at the Canal and River Trust car park in Bradford-on-Avon as it goes straight onto the tow path. Stopped at The Angelfish Restaurant / Café in Limpley Stoke for a much needed Ice cream, before heading home.
