Do not book serviced accommodation if you want a hotel.
Seriously.
If you expect a 24-hour reception, daily housekeeping, room service or someone waiting downstairs to carry your bags, you will probably be disappointed.
And please do not book a serviced apartment if:
1. You want the cheapest possible place and do not care where you stay.
A good serviced apartment is not a bargain-basement hotel room. You are paying for space, a kitchen, privacy, parking and a proper home base — not a bed with four walls.
2. You do not want to read check-in instructions.
Most serviced accommodation uses self-check-in. It is simple, but you do need to read the message, use the code correctly and tell us if you are arriving very late.
3. You treat someone else’s home like a party venue.
