Hard to believe it’s been a year today since we lost Brendan.
Every time I look at his picture in the corner I remember the great memories he made for all of us.
He really was something special and will never be forgotten.
God bless Brendan 💔😢

This is the hardest post I have ever written.

To say I am devastated and heartbroken is an understatement. We have lost one of the most talented and kindest young men you could ever have met.

Brendan Mc Kenna was not just a musician in Fiddlers, he was everyone’s friend. Brendan started playing in Fiddlers approx 20 years ago when he and his 3 friends started the band Purple Road. They were only 16 at the time so some of their parents had to come with them, which they never liked lol Since then he continued playing in the corner mostly solo but loved when Johnny, Jana or Eimer joined him. Singing in Fiddlers or anywhere else for that matter was Brendan’s happy place.

Brendan it was an honour and a privilege to have known you and you will be missed not just by us but by so many people.

Sincere sympathy to his heartbroken family and friends

Brendan you will always be missed and remembered by owners staff and patrons of Fiddlers Green. 💔
