💚💜 Oh, Bellingham, you really know how to put on a show! ✨

Just look at what was happening in the skies above Bellingham last night! 😍

The Northern Lights made a beautiful appearance, painting the night sky with shades of green and purple. Moments like these remind us just how special this little corner of Northumberland really is. ❤️

And with autumn here and winter just around the corner, it’s a wonderful time to come and experience it for yourself.

Imagine spending your days exploring the beautiful Northumberland countryside, enjoying the peace and quiet, then wrapping up warm, stepping outside and looking up at a sky full of stars. 🌌

We can’t promise you the Northern Lights, of course (if only we had that kind of influence! 😂), but we do have some incredible dark skies, beautiful surroundings and a lovely warm welcome waiting for you.

🔥 And after a chilly evening outdoors, there’s always our cosy communal lounge with its log-burning stove to warm you up!

🏕️ We’re open until 17th January, so there’s still plenty of time to come and make some wonderful memories with us, whether you’re visiting in your caravan, motorhome, tent or staying in one of our camping pods.

It’s been a wonderful summer here in Bellingham and the good weather continues. Don’t forget we’re open until mid January and as soon as our new website is available for bookings we’ll let you know (or you can phone 01434 220175 now). The Club have announced our departure from their network and we will soon change our name on this page. New times with a new name - but it’s still us here!
We have some special offers coming up - watch this space!
In the meantime, we wish all those staying with us (and indeed all participants) all the best for the Kielder marathon (and half marathon) tomorrow! Well done those who completed their runs today. You are all stars!

For those of you on-site today, we have a decent chance of some clear sky tonight. As well as taking a look yourself (moon very low to the South - so may be hard to observe), you can follow the fascinating images of the moon from NASA, guided by our local astronomer Wil (our WiFi permitting! perhaps use 4G!).
Better news on the WiFi front - next year should see us with Gb fibre broadband!

My 7th year taking part in NASA’s International observe the Moon night.

I’ll be talking about our fascinating celestial neighbour and sharing some incredible views of the Moon.

What do you do on your day off from running a campsite! Why, walk 26 miles of course! Started at Alnwick Castle, finished at Bamburgh Castle.
Well done David! He finished well up the field in a hugely popular fundraising event, superbly organised by Macmillan, which has raised over £1 Million altogether so far! What a beautiful day it was. A huge thanks to all who supported David. He’ll be back on-site tomorrow with not a hint of hobbling! 😁

This Saturday, our very own David is taking on the Macmillan Northumberland Coast Mighty Hike, a huge 26-mile walk from Alnwick to Bamburgh in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.

It’s a cause that means a great deal to David personally, and we’d love to give him a big Bellingham send-off before he sets off on Saturday.

How quickly does a year go by?! 😳❤️

It honestly doesn’t seem five minutes since the last Bellingham Show & Country Festival… and here we are again! 🎪🐂🌾

This Saturday 29th August, Bellingham will once again be buzzing, and we’re genuinely excited to see everyone coming into the village for what is always such a brilliant day.

There’s something really special about events like this - local people, visitors, families, farmers, traders, food, entertainment and a whole community coming together for the day. ❤️

If you’re staying with us at Bellingham Camping this weekend, make the most of it! Head along to the show, enjoy everything that’s happening and then explore a little more of Bellingham while you’re here. We’re always talking to our campers about the lovely local places to grab something to eat or drink too… because a good day out definitely shouldn’t end hungry. 😂🍰☕🍻
