S42 at Sandhills

Thanks to everyone who stayed with us in 2021. We hope you enjoyed a break from “normality” (or at least whatever normal looks like right now).

We’ve been the custodians of “the van” for 8 brilliant years & enjoyed it as a family and also sharing it with the many guests who’ve stayed there.

Sadly, we’ve decided it’s time for us to part company - the kids are older & we’ve not been able to get over as often as we’d like.

We’d love to be able to give another young family a chance to enjoy S42 as we have, but it’s not possible as we’re not permitted to sell it privately on the site.

Therefore we’re selling her to the site. She’ll probably lose her pride of place and we’ll certainly miss the view from the window.

It’s a scorcher out there ..... makes you wish you were at the seaside right?

Sadly we’re fully booked until 5th September but we’ve got 5 nights available for some late summer sunshine and also from 17th September.

Hey, it’s the UK so it’s going to be lovely weather - right?

We managed to get back to the van for the first time in 4 months. Sandhills Holiday Park is now open with some of the (now usual) social distancing rules in place in the shop.

We’re in the process of writing up a revised welcome pack etc and for those of you booked to stay in the next week, we’ll be in touch directly in the next day or so.

Few things to remember:

Please do not travel to the van if you feel ill with COVID symptoms.
You must wear face coverings on the ferry as per Government regulations - including in the cafes and toilets at the port.
You may be instructed to stay in your car on the vehicle deck for some sailings on Wightlink.
Please maintain social distancing on the Holiday Park.
Government regulations require all visitors and their vehicles to be registered by the site in advance.
Please do not invite guests to the site or the van during your stay.

In the meantime, here’s some pictures we took yesterday and today (including heading up to the The Culver Haven Inn for a pint yesterday)!

The Holiday Park is closed as per the Government guidelines. We have blocked off bookings for the next three weeks but feel that the closure is likely to last longer.

We’re holding off opening up the van for a few weeks as it’s been so wet & windy last few weeks.

Still, the sun has got to make a prolonged appearance before long!

We’ll let you know when we get over to get everything ready!

It's not quite shorts weather just yet, but the sun did make a welcome appearance today and whisper it quietly, but there was a slight hint of spring in the air! wont be long now.
