The Orchard At Norcott is an amazing small private campsite on Northchurch Common close to Ashridge National Park in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Berkhamsted/Northchurch common is the largest in the Chilterns at some 427 hectares. Northchurch common is one of the five commons found on the National Trust's Ashridge Estate. Groups of fallow deer can often be seen in the glades and other op

en areas as well as lots of birds and natural beauty that will take your breath away. We are a small campsite at the top of Dudswell lane, Northchurch common, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. There are local amenities in Northchuch (short walk) and some amazing country pubs all within a short walking distance from the campsite. Berkhamsted is a nice walk along The Grand Union Canal. Half hour walk from the campsite and you'll find the ancient village of Aldbury (see attractions). Small fires (in fire pits) and BBQs are allowed. Children are very welcome. If you have a dog please let us know in advance. We have a cold water tap available and outside toilet facilities (no hot water) & no electric hook up.

Pleased to say the Artisan pub (formerly the Cow Roast pub) has finally reopened, it’s a short walk from our campsite

I’m pleased to say the lovely Valiant Trooper village pub has reopened this weekend. It’s a lovely walk from the campsite across the common. Takes about 40mins

Anyone wanting to see comet neowise if you look north towards the house it maybe visible , if not if you walk up to the common there a big area facing north. Any photos would be great 👍

We are a small campsite at the top of Dudswell lane, Northchurch common, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. There are local amenities in Northchuch (short walk) and some amazing country pubs all within a short walking distance from the campsite. Berkhamsted also has some great pubs and restaurants. Berkhamsted is a nice walk along The Grand Union Canal. Half hour walk from the campsite and you'll find the ancient village of Aldbury (see attractions).

CAMPSITE RULES

1. Small fires (in fire pits) and BBQs are allowed. You will have to bring your own wood not take our logs please, and not burn the grass, all fires must be a raised off the ground.

2. Dogs are welcome as long as on a lead and you clean up any dog mess.
