Berwick's NEW FESTIVAL! 👇

Berwick's first 'Fringe' Festival will take place this summer. Amped Berwick C.I.C is organising a two-day event!

With 13 venues in operation with live music, workshops and talks and 75+ performers across two incredible days, there’s something for everyone.
Performances kick off from 10am–12pm on Friday, 31st July, and continue 10am–1am on Saturday, 1st August!

Wristbands will be in operation, with all proceeds going directly to support the superb performers.

Don’t miss a special highlight: a unique performance on the landing of Berwick’s Town Hall.

Here’s hoping for sunshine and a fantastic turnout from both Berwickers and visitors alike. See you there!

Some interesting facts about Berwick upon Tweed.

Things nobody tells you about Berwick-upon-Tweed:

1. It's changed hands between England and Scotland 13 times. The town has serious identity issues.

2. The football team plays in the Scottish league despite being in England. Because why not add to the confusion.

3. The Elizabethan walls are the most complete in Europe. You can walk the entire circuit.

4. The salmon fishing here used to be the best in Britain.

5. Three magnificent bridges cross the Tweed - OId Bridge (1624), Royal Border Bridge (1850), & Royal Tweed Bridge (1928).

6. L.S. Lowry spent his holidays here for 28 years. You can see why.

It's not a big town. But it's got proper character and a fascinating history.

Plus, you know, stunning coastline and empty beaches.
