There are a choice of beaches nearby notably Spittal and Coldingham and of course the glories of the Heritage Northumbrian Coastline are also within very easy driving distance - Holy Island, Bamburgh Castle and beach and the bustling seaside village of Seahouses. Only 1 hour’s drive from Edinburgh for an alternative day trip the cottage is in an ideal location for fishing, cycling, golf and the historical sites for which the Borders are famous for. Beautiful Traquair in the August evening sunshine. Still green and gorgeous! Open daily 10.30 - 5pm until 31st August when re revert to autumn hours.
