We are only just over a hour away from the vibrant cities of Newcastle-upon-Tyne with its brilliant quay side, theatres and galleries or extraordinary Edinburgh with its elegant Georgian ‘new town’ and the historic ‘old town’, imposing castle and superb Palace of Holyrood.
