Who loves a puffin? They have to be one of my all time favourites!

Yet again the National Trust have gone live with their Puffin Cam so you can see these amazing birds on the Farne Islands.

What’s your favourite thing to do on a wet island day? Hole up in the bird hide and see what comes along? Visit the beautiful castle and learn about its amazing and varied history? Or maybe hole up somewhere with a book? Our personal favourite is to play cards or dice in one of the islands pubs or cafes, have a drink or two and spend precious downtime as a family.

🚙 Holy Island is only crossable twice a day, and you can find yourself in serious bother if you find yourself crossing at the wrong time, meaning people like Martin from HM Coastguard might have to come and rescue you, and your car could even be written off!

If you're planning a trip to Holy Island, you can save yourself a load of bother by looking at the tide times online before you set off. We want you to enjoy the beauty of , but we want you to do it safely.
