☀️ Bank Holiday Weekend + Sunshine = Perfect Park Days! ☀️

It looks like the weather gods are finally being kind to us this Bank Holiday weekend… and we are READY for it, and we know you will be too!

To all our lovely seasonal pitch holders and static caravan owners — dust off the BBQs, get the outdoor chairs out, pour something cold and enjoy your home-from-home in the sunshine. The lazy days are so much better when the sun is out.

Whether you’re planning family time, relaxing with a book, exploring the local area or simply soaking up the sunshine, we hope you have a fantastic weekend here with us.

Who else is hoping this is the start of summer? And who is joining us on park this coming week? 👇

Did you know that Lowick hosts a fantastic Village Fete every year? It’s a traditional community day out that has something for everyone to enjoy.

Expect everything from tombolas, raffles and stalls to tug of war, dog shows, fancy dress, children’s races and beer tents — and that’s only the beginning. Of course, the highlight of the day has to be the famous floats making their way through the village, which are always well worth coming along to see.

So make sure to save the date — Saturday 13th June — and come along for a brilliant day with family and friends. As well as being a great community event, the fete also raises money for Lowick Play Park and Berwick's Cancer Cars - The B&DCSG

If you have any raffle or tombola prizes you’d like to donate, they can be dropped off at reception or at Lowick Village Store.

The fete will be held on the village common in Lowick on Saturday 13th June - keep your eyes peeled for more information nearer the time.

On Wednesday we invited our owners from our three parks along for a day at Kelso Races. Our youngest team member Craig volunteered to go along to make sure everyone was well cared for. He was given a staff budget to bring us some winnings home and after initially being up, he came back with less than he went with 😂.

We hope that our owners had more luck than Craig, but more than anything we hope they all had a fantastic day out.

Thank you to Jocelyne, Julie, Ken, Kevin and Craig for allowing us to share their photo!

If anyone that came along managed to get any photos, we'd love to see them.

Some days at Ancroft Country Park feel less like a holiday park… and more like a front-row seat to nature 🐾

Our daily visitor at the moment is this beautiful hare, and look at the size of it! Very relaxed making itself at home in the garden, and not one, not two… but four deer have been seen out in the field.

Phenomenal watching this fly over Ancroft early tonight. What a sight and sound.

School holidays here again so I visited The Alnwick Garden this week, because the blossom trees are in full bloom… and if you know, you know 🌸

It’s honestly one of the most magical, calming places to visit at this time of year — even more so when the sun decides to show up.

Sitting on the swings surrounded by blossom, with the music playing in the background has to be one of the most relaxing things you can do. And if you could actually smell the video… it would say it all.

The only downside is it doesn’t last long, so if you’re thinking about going, now’s definitely the time.

The gardens are beautiful all year round, but right now they just hit different, and trust me when I say the video doesn't do them justice.

The video only shows some of the gardens — we ended up grabbing a coffee and sitting overlooking the main water feature while the kids ran off to explore the maze (and came back a little wet from the water features… as expected).

Thank you to John and Pam for catching the rainbows and sharing their beautiful photos with us. Just amazing.

If you’ve ever fancied a slower kind of day out, Ford & Etal Estates is one of those places we always end up recommending, because, quite simply, we love it there.

It’s only a short drive from Ancroft, but it feels like you’ve really escaped for a bit. Think quiet country lanes, rolling fields, the River Till winding its way through, and plenty of space to just wander without a plan.

Waterfalls ✅
Wild & heavy horses ✅
Steam trains ✅
Places to eat & drink ✅
Castles ✅
Village shops ✅
Stunning walks with the most amazing views ✅
The most happy and friendliest people ✅

Ford & Etal is the kind of place where you can park up, set off on a walk, and just see where you end up, especially on days like today.

We’ve had a few owners head out there lately and have come back saying the same thing – they forgot how amazing it is.

If you’ve not been yet, it’s definitely worth a morning or an afternoon, or even a day!… just don’t blame us if you end up staying longer than planned.

We will post a link to their website in the comments as there's just not enough typing room to mention everything.

If you have any recent photo's that you wouldn't mind sharing please post below. Lets show the rest of the world what they're missing out on, and of course a like and share of this post is most welcome!
