Alongside your stay, we also offer a range of therapeutic treatments designed to help you unwind and restore balance. I’ve been a massage therapist since 2003, and over the years my treatments have grown to include integrated bodywork, homeopathy to support the body in restoring balance and vitality, and Vega intolerance testing to help identify food intolerances, vitamin and mineral deficiencies and overall body function.

Treatments can be tailored and combined into a more holistic experience, creating time and space to properly relax, reset and reconnect with yourself.

When staying at the BANYAN, a visit to Instow is a must, especially in the late afternoon as the sun begins to lower in the sky creating a beautiful glow across the water ☀️🌊

It’s a really lovely coastal area for a wander on the beach, backed by dunes with a really easy, laid back feel.

And, of course, there’s never not a good time to enjoy a famous Hockings Ice Cream and trip to the fabulous John’s Deli 🍦🧁

Instow also has some lovely pubs and restaurants overlooking the sea. Our guests have always enjoyed The Boathouse, The Instow Arms, The Commodore Hotel and The Glorious Oyster (a beach shack vibe at the back of the dunes with live music on set dates) 🐚💫

There’s even a little ferry that connects Appledore and Instow which runs during high tide! 🚤

Definitely worth a visit!

🌊 Peaceful coastal escape in North Devon 🐚

If you’re after a few days to slow things down, BANYAN by the Coast is a lovely little retreat for two.

Tucked away near the coast, it’s the kind of place where you can take your time… breathe in the fresh sea air, enjoy the quiet surroundings and just switch off for a while. Evenings are best spent in the private hot tub, watching the sunset after a day out 🌅

For a bit of extra relaxation, we also offer on site massage treatments, so you can really unwind during your stay.

There’s plenty to explore nearby too… Bucks Mills, Clovelly, Hartland Quay, Westward Ho! and Bude are all within easy reach, with beautiful coastal walks, hidden beaches and amazing views along the way.

Beautiful Clovelly is just down the road from the BANYAN and is a really lovely place to visit 🌊⚓️🚤

A picturesque little coastal village and harbour, famed for its cobbled streets, white cottages, donkeys and stunning coastal walks and views 🐚🫏

On the way down through the village you can stop off for a cream tea and visit the museum… it really feels like you are stepping back in time 🫖🧁

It’s perfect for a wander during the day, a swim, part of a coastal walk, or even a more relaxed evening visit 🥾🏊🏻‍♀️🌅

They also host some fantastic festivals throughout the year too💫

There’s a couple of pubs, in particular The Red Lion at the bottom in the harbour, which is always worth the walk down to 🍻🍷☕️

And best of all, if you don’t fancy the return walk up again, you can always grab the Land Rover trip back to the top (at set times during the day) 🦀🎣🐚

One of those places you’ll definitely want to explore while you’re here 🌿🌊🦞
