Meet Ben Pettman, our Head of Enterprise Architecture & AI Enablement.

Having joined us in September 2010, Ben has been part of Travel Chapter’s journey for an incredible 15 years. Over that time, he’s progressed through a range of impactful roles, including:
- Developer
- Solutions Architect
- Head of Platform Engineering
- Head of Enterprise Architecture & AI Enablement

When asked what’s kept him at Travel Chapter for so long, Ben said the answer was simple: the people, and the varied and challenging work. The opportunity to constantly learn, solve complex problems, and work alongside great colleagues has made the journey a rewarding one.

Highlights from Ben’s time at Travel Chapter include migrating our hosting infrastructure to a new platform and being involved in some big mergers, helping shape how we operate today.

At Travel Chapter, we’re passionate about supporting charitable causes and advocating for important organisations that have a tangible impact on our communities. We’re committed to taking care of the places where our guests love to holiday and the people who live there.

Demonstrating this commitment, we are proud to partner with Air Ambulances UK as our Charity of the Year for the next two years. Our hope is to raise awareness of the life-saving work the air ambulance charities do, whilst raising vital funds which help ensure they can continue to deliver critical care to patients 🚁

Many of our holiday destinations are rural, and whilst they may be beautiful and incredible places to live, work and visit, they’re often remote locations, meaning, in most cases, the nearest hospital or ambulance can be quite some distance away. This partnership reflects a shared understanding of the important role air ambulance charities play in our communities.

🌿🐶 Last week, a few of our Marketing Team members spent the day volunteering at Battersea.

They got hands-on helping to refresh one of the paddocks – creating a more enriching, calming space for the dogs to explore and enjoy, as well as donating two planters to the garden. It was a successful day supporting a cause close to our hearts and making a real difference alongside such a special partner.

From every booking made with Canine Cottages (our collection of dog-friendly holiday homes), we donate £2 to Battersea’s foster welcome packs. These help dogs settle more comfortably into temporary homes while they wait to find their forever families ❤️
