A month in and Meg is making great strides on the South West Coast Path. Gracefully dipping out to replenish stores at home only when the weather becomes too rotten, she has made great headway over the last few weeks. The first Walking Devon event was succesfully completed last month with a group of friends wanting a mix of Dartmoor and the South West Coast Path.

The friday evening was spent reaquainting themselves over a firepit cooked paella and Atlantic spirit Gin on the banks of the Torridge and much frivolity.

The sun came out for them as they spent the Saturday on an 8 mile walk from Widecombe to The Warren House Inn taking in Hound Tor and Jays Grave, and home for a BBQ. On returning to Hadlow various aching muscles were relaxed on the lawn with a post walk yoga session delivered by Chloe Gibb (www.greenheartdevon.com). After a good nights sleep, the Sunday was spent on the South West Coast Path with a little saunter from Bucks Mills along the Hobby Drive to Clovelly where a final rehydration took place at the Red lion!

Once back at Hadlow the wives and children joined them for a Sunday afternoon of pizzas on the lawn from the wood fired oven before venturing homeward, a very happy and succesful weekend.

with - Ben Kent, Robin De Wreede, Rob S Shaddick, Quinton Davies and Jon Hardy.
