Today we said goodbye to Lyndsey, who has been an incredible part of The Royal Hotel for an amazing 29 years!

Lyndsey has led as our General Manager since 2016, bringing dedication, leadership, and heart to everything she’s done. She has worked her way up through the ranks through hard work, dedication & commitment.

Over the years, she has welcomed and connected with so many people, from familiar faces in our local community to guests visiting from further afield, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who has walked through our doors.

Her impact on the team, our guests, and the hotel as a whole has been truly remarkable.

There have been countless memorable moments along the way, but one that always makes us smile is when Lyndsey found herself stuck in the lift with two guests who didn’t speak any English, somehow managing to keep spirits high and turn it into a moment of laughter. It perfectly sums up her calm nature, humour, and ability to connect with anyone, no matter the situation.
