Blackhills-Campsite Blackhills Scout Campsite is run by the two Scout Districts of Bradford (North & South).

Visitors to the site will enjoy the countryside location set in some 40 acres of unspoilt rural woodland.

Our annual Blackhills Scouting Family Bonfire Night is back on Saturday 7th November 2026!

🕕 Gates open at 6pm
🔥 Bonfire lit at 6:30pm
🎆 Fireworks at 7:45pm

🎟️ £6 including food | £3 entry only | 2s and under free!

🍻 Bar and tuck shop available!

⚠️ Bring a torch and wear suitable footwear. Cash preferred, card accepted.

🔥 THE FIRE BAN IS LIFTED! 🔥

We’re pleased to let you know that, from today 1st October, fires will once again be permitted at Blackhills Campsite. 🌲🏕️

However, with the recent dry conditions, we’re putting some important fire safety rules in place. Please take the time to read through the guidance in the images before lighting any fire.

A few key points to remember:

🔥 Fires must be in a designated fire base/half drum

👀 Fires to be kept small and extinguished when no one near them

💧 Fire must not be lit until bucket of water is available adjacent the fire for firefighting purposes.

‼️ Fire must not be left unattended.

📏 All combustible material to be more than 1m from fire and removed to woodpile after the fire is extinguished.

💦 All fires to be out before leaving site with the ash fully wetted and left in the drum. (Do not spread the ash or put in bins as there remains a risk of reignition.)

🚫 No rubbish is to be burnt
🚫 No tentage within 6m of the fire bases
🚫 No tarps as fire shelters
🚫 No disposable BBQs

IMPORTANT: These rules do not replace your own responsibilities. All site users must complete their own risk assessment and must not rely on the above guidance alone.

We’d like to thank everyone for their cooperation during the fire ban. Your support helped us protect Blackhills and the surrounding woodland. 💚🌳

Please help us keep it safe now that fires are permitted again.

👀 | Our first little look back at the Blackhills Big Birthday Bash… and what a celebration it was! 💚

8️⃣0️⃣ | From 80 years of Blackhills to camping, activities, laughter, friendships, campfires (without the fire), music and plenty of birthday fun — it was a weekend full of memories we won’t forget anytime soon.

👏 | A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us, helped make it happen, supported the weekend and celebrated 80 amazing years of Blackhills Scout Campsite with us.
