From medieval inn to one of Digbeth’s most iconic pubs. The Old Crown has seen a LOT of change over the centuries!

Dating all the way back to 1368, the building has witnessed Birmingham grow and transform around it. What was once surrounded by medieval streets and open land is now in the heart of bustling Digbeth - but some things haven’t changed… the doors are still open, the drinks are still flowing, and people are still coming together under the same historic roof. 🍻

And now, as we look back at 658 years of history, we’re getting ready to celebrate the next chapter…

This year, we’re celebrating 658 years of The Old Crown.

From its beginnings in 1368 to the pub you know today, The Old Crown has been part of Digbeth and Birmingham for centuries.
That’s a lot of history, a lot of pints and, no doubt, a lot of stories along the way.

To celebrate, we’re throwing a proper birthday party with DJs, food, plenty of drinks.
