Nearby are Lochs for fishing, beaches, Ring of Brodgar, Skara Brae and the Brough of Birsay. Magnificent views from cliff tops are close by. Orkney is famous for it's archaelogy such as The Stones of Stenness which has been reported in the National Geographic this month (August 2014). Orkney has strong connections to Norway and the Nordic history. The Kirk itself has it's own history as one of th

e first "Free Kirks" in Orkney. Worshippers were proud to call themselves part of the "Original Seceders", The Kirk was, and is, known as the "Kirk abune the Hill". It is now selfcatering accommodation, welcoming people to stay in it's open planned, relaxed atmosphere. It has four bedrooms enabling 8 people to sleep comfortably. Four bathrooms, 2 communal areas and kitchen and dining space. It is open all year round so you can enjoy the many attractions of Orkney from the islands itself to the events it holds.
