Martha and Samuel, our two Shepherd's Huts, both have space for one final escape before the school run takes over. So we made a guide…

🛖 The Morrell Bothy: the grandest option with the biggest outdoor space and a TV for guilt-free duvet days when the weather turns. The one for people who want to live outside as much as in.

🛖 Samuel: backs onto private woodland with river views right on the doorstep. The one for people who want to feel properly tucked away.

🛖 The Moorhouse Bothy: plenty of space with full height windows and its own fire pit and BBQ. The one for those who book a weekend away and secretly hope it rains.

🛖 Martha: sun-facing with an outdoor bath that catches the afternoon light perfectly. The one for people who want to make the most of every hour of daylight.

All four are adults only with private outdoor baths, wood burners and luxury extras included. They can also be booked together for group getaways, hen parties and celebrations.

We get a lot of returning guests at Haystacks🤍

Couples who came for a first anniversary and came back for the fifth. People who found something here they couldn't quite get anywhere else and decided not to bother looking for it somewhere else. Guests who message us on the way home to ask about availability for next year.

Milestone stays, anniversary weekends, birthdays, just-because trips. We're here for all of them.

Our Bothies are already home to the larger version of these gorgeous highland cows! We spotted our lovely friends from Ditzy Dragonflies at Ripley Show and couldn't resist picking up a couple of the little ones for our Shepherd's Huts too 🤍

Bigger than a Shepherd's Hut, quieter than anywhere you've stayed before, The Moorhouse is our most spacious retreat hidden in the Nidderdale countryside, just outside of Harrogate.

It was built for people who want more space without losing the feeling of hiding away comprising of full height windows overlooking the fields, a private outdoor wood-fired bath, a bed that’s caused more than one guest to ask about extending their stay and interiors that feel considered rather than just decorated.
