West Hoppyland Lodges is a family run business set in the heart of picturesque Weardale and Teesdale, adjacent to Hamsterley Forest. Two Self-Catering Lodges are available set in a quiet Birch Wood. Hello 👋🏼 to all of our loyal followers and customers… We’ve had another super busy year here at West Hoppyland Lodges, maintaining our 5⭐️ status and Super-host!

We are now closed for winter and will re-open on 1st March 2026.

Due to a change in personal circumstances, we will only be offering a minimum of 5 nights stays in 2026. Arrival days being a Monday or a Friday.

Bookings are taken via Airbnb & our prices are remaining the same. (Links in comments)

Shout out to The Cross Keys Hamsterley, (also mentioned in one of our guest reviews) who provide a great local village pub for our guests to visit, serving delicious food & a great selection of drinks 🍴🍺🍷

We welcomed our first guests of 2024 last month, and received our first 5⭐️ reviews of the year!

We are so lucky to have such lovely guests, it makes all of the hard work worthwhile.

We’ve had a very wet start to the year, our fields are mostly under water 😑 however we are fully open and available to take bookings 📔

Here at West Hoppyland Lodges we are an ideal base, situated adjacent to Hamsterley Forest - Forestry England!

Hamsterley Forest needs no introduction, offering miles & miles of Trails, from a steady ride along the River-side or over the surrounding Pennine Moors, to the Black routes & Danny Hart's Descend Bike Park, for the more adrenaline junkies!

🏡 We offer Two Self-Catering Wooden Lodges situated in our quiet Birch Wood, both lodges sleep up to 3 people.

From only £70 per lodge, per night, for a minimum of 3 nights stay. All bookings taken via our Airbnb 👉🏼

It was great to re-open our Lodges over the weekend and welcome our first guests of the year! 🍾

The weather was kind to our guests, crisp but dry and amazing views in the winter sun☀️👌🏽
