Here is your Pic of the ! Have you noticed an additional day in your calendar? 2024 is a .

Will you be doing anything special with your extra day?

Why do we have leap years?
We use the Gregorian calendar year to keep track of time, which has 365 days. However, the Earth takes a fraction longer to orbit the sun and if this extra time amounted the seasons would slowly move out of sync with our calendar. Imagine winter weather in June 😱

This lamb was found leaping one year in 🐑

A Dream Come True

When we first thought about building Mill View Barns it was to create a really comfortable place to stay in a peaceful location. Sustainability was important to us and a natural relaxed atmosphere. We thought that cyclists would welcome the location, being half way on the Coast to Coast Way of the Roses, especially as there is secure integrated cycle storage. What we’ve also found in the three years we’ve been open, is that small groups of friends value the opportunity to get away and catch up. We offer a flexible alternative to the traditional B&B or self-catering accommodation, providing tasty local breakfast foods for guests to enjoy at their leisure. A dream come true!
