Job Opportunity – Front of House Hotel Team Member

30–40 hours per week

We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our Front of House team at The Castle Hotel, Bishop’s Castle.

Previous hospitality experience is preferred but not essential. We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional and growing business, with excellent prospects for career development.

The role will include:

* Bar service
* Food service
* Hotel reception and administration
* Taking restaurant and hotel bookings
* Providing outstanding customer service throughout the hotel

The ideal candidate will be confident multitasking, enjoy working in a busy environment, and take pride in providing a warm and welcoming experience for our guests.

Hello....

We’re delighted to announce that The Poppy House is now part of The Castle Hotel, Bishops Castle family.

We’re currently undertaking a programme of refurbishment and are looking forward to reopening the coffee shop and café later this summer.

The Poppy House will continue to offer excellent value accommodation with its four comfortable en-suite bedrooms.

Once we’re open again, we’d love to welcome everyone to pop in, say hello and see the changes for yourselves.

Our food offering is being carefully developed to suit both local residents and visitors. The plan is to open five days a week for brunch, lunch and afternoons, with the aim of introducing three evenings a week of dinner service in the future.

We’re excited to breathe new life into this much-loved building and hope to create a thriving hospitality hub for Bishop’s Castle and the surrounding area.

We'd also like to thank Clive, Julie, Lynn & Claire for their stewardship over the last 17 years.
