Our chalk stream winds through the woodland, offering shade, birdsong and a gentle place to pause during warmer days.

Keeping things cool at Botswicky

With the very warm weather this week, we’ve added a sail shade over the outdoor kitchen area to help keep guests cool while cooking, making drinks or simply taking a shady pause.

It should also give Vidar’s new ice-powered fridge a helping hand.

Cold drinks, chalk stream water, woodland, cold plunge and slow off-grid living… just how summer here should feel..

Through our partnership with the brilliant Helen Browning’s Organic, we can arrange pick ups and farm safaris in the one and only Pork & Ride — their legendary mud-splattered Defender who knows every track and hedgerow on the farm.

It’s honestly one of our favourite ways to welcome people in — bumping across the meadows, yurt on the horizon, skylarks overhead.

No car needed, no stress.

Just arrive and let the countryside do its thing.

In Norway you will often find Juleverksted in towns, craft markets and village gatherings.

The literal translation of Juleverksted is Christmas workshop and these little events are normally always free to attend, focused on children making cute decorations and sometimes with a guest appearance of a certain someone 🎅🏼
