Today we would like to introduce our Family Bunk Rooms. We now have 2 family bunk rooms at Pebbles Guest House, Blackpool. Room 4 and Room 5. Both rooms are spacious and welcoming and offer a family a comfy double bed and bunk bed.

☀️ GOOD MORNING YOU BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE☀️

Today is the day - it’s PHOTO DAY! We would like to let you all know that our refresh is now COMPLETE and as we await the arrival of the photographer, we are just in the middle of setting up the breakfast bar for photos!

It’s been a very tough few weeks on this refresh, but the team have pulled together and we have to say that Pebbles Guest House looks BETTER THAN EVER!

We’ve kept you updated on a few small things, and once photos have been done today, we will share the images and even a little walk through video for you all to see!

We’ve put a huge amount of work into the much needed refresh, all our sleeping rooms have had new furniture, re-paints or new feature walls, new showers, re-grout, new duvets and pillows. Our hallways have had a huge facelift with wooden cladding and brighter walls. Additional plug sockets and lighting have been installed, key safes moved to a single collection point, new smart handle on the entrance door, lots of plumbing alterations, blinds installed in bright rooms! We’ve also upgraded our fire system and had a 5 star food hygiene rating from this weeks inspection - the list goes on and on!

We need to do a few tweaks on the listings with the photos etc, but we should have our calendars OPEN FROM SATURDAY! You can always get a better rate booking direct with us, we will share the link this weekend!

We’ve genuinely taken feedback on board from guest messages, reviews and conversations and that is what has been the driving force behind the changes!

PRICE CHANGE - you will be delighted to know, that despite the thousands of pounds and mass amount of time spent on the refresh, our prices REMAIN THE SAME for 2025! Double rooms £50, twin/superking rooms £60 and family rooms £70 per night including a complimentary continental breakfast offering (we don’t offer cooked breakfasts) … prices on platforms like booking .com and Airbnb will ALWAYS be 10% more! (So book direct)!

Although we won’t change the price, keeping it affordable we WILL NOT be offering 1 night stays. We will have a minimum 2 night stay policy throughout the year.

I just want to thank the team and our wonderful guests for making pebbles what it is!

I can’t wait to open the doors back up after a 2 month closure!

Well I think we have enough pillows now 😂😂 all rooms are being treated to brand new pillows, we trialed them last night and GOSH they are super comfy and springy. Every guest will have TWO of these (so 4 on every double/king bed), but they’re so plump that I think you’ll only need 1 each!

Not only have we got new pillows, we’ve got new duvets and even lots of new BEDS Rooms 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 all have brand spanking mew divan beds and mattresses! So our guests are going to have a super comfy sleep when we re-open

We are only a few days away from completing the mini refurb! And we’ve got to say (even though we are biased of course) it’s starting to look even better than it did before! 😍😍 the transformation is almost complete … launch day in 7 days woooo

Our key collection sign is up, making key collection and drop off easier for guests 🙂

(We are aware the top row looks un-level, it’s because keys age number 2 is smaller 😂 we are trying to find the same brand keysafe as the others as it’s driving us potty haha!

Our ‘little’ refresh is coming along beautifully. So as we are doing a room we decide that, actually another room needs doing .. so it’s going to take a little longer than initially planned 🙈 room 1, 4, 7 and 8 are all being changed as well as the communal areas. We’ve had the new rainfall shower installed today into 4 rooms and next week the electrician is returning to finish the sparky works!

We are really working our socks off and cannot wait to do a little video to show you the changes! We will also post some before and after pictures for you all to see

Only a couple of wwwks left until Pebbles v2.0 and we are super excited so show off the finished product

Looking back at the beautiful reviews and recommendations from our wonderful guests over the last two years has put a big spring in our step and incentivised us even more to keep pushing forward with the refresh we are currently doing!

We’d just like to say a huge thank you for all the recent lovely comments and inbox messages and also for all the enquiries about staying with us! Sorry we aren’t able to host anybody for a couple of weeks during the refurbishment works, but here is a little update on our progress:

🎨 Our entrance hall and landing now has a beautiful cladding blue painted walls. Gone is the dark and unwelcoming grey! The entrance looks so much brighter and welcoming, we are soooo happy with how fresh it’s looking

🔑 We’ve upgraded our front door keyless entry, we now have a smart lock for guests to use and it’s a little more discreet than the big ugly keypad we had before!

We have also moved the individual room key safes from the side of the rooms to one single key collection point in the entrance hallway. So no more struggling with the key safes in the dark haha!

🛌 We have upgraded some of the beds and mattresses in some of the rooms. Room 7 will soon be a zip and link which means it can be a king or a twin (like room 1)

We have changed the layout of our room 4 family room, it’s now got so much more space to move around 🕺

🖌️ We are touching up paintwork in most of the rooms, getting rid of paint chips

🖼️ We are changing some of the feature walls, some will have cladding and paint, some will have wallpaper, this will freshen up the rooms and make them a little higher quality and even more modern

💡 We have installed more lighting so the communal areas are brighter

🚰 We have upgraded a number of showers so you can get the perfect temperature

🧴 We are replacing our wall dispensers with bottled toiletries, which will change with the seasons, these are refill pumps and not individual disposables (gotta look after them turtles haven’t we aha)

🔨 We’re doing lots of little maintenance jobs around the house such as re-siliconing showers, installing better privacy window screens, replacing bathroom Lino and re-papering some of the en-suites which have become a little tired

We are really hoping to be OPEN FOR BOOKINGS for the weekend of 27th June but it may be a week later (let’s see how it goes - Harrison is rather ambitious and working everybody like dogs haha!)

Once the works have finished, we will be inviting our amazing photographer back to re-shoot the property to update our marketing, website and online booking sites! And we will of course share the heck out of it on our socials!

We already had a busy summer booked in, but we have some gaps which we know will just fill up quickly!

Thanks for all the support! We are really pushing to enhance pebbles once again, we genuinely love our little guest house and want to make it one of the best places to stay on a budget! And just cannot wait to welcome some fabulous guests once more

HELLO! Harrison here.... Well we have been rather quiet for a while on our social media page (sorry)... But I wanted to share some updates with our lovely guests!

We had a pretty tough winter to be honest, we opened up for 1 night stays from January and have been allowing 1 night stays since, and unfortunately this hasn't been great for us as we have had some not very nice guests, things have been broken, and some areas of the guest house have had a rough ride which is really sad after all the hard work we put in when we opened in 2023. This has also led to some poor reviews (mostly from some not very nice guests!)

ANYWAY - onward and upwards, we have closed all our calendars (still honouring all the bookings we have) and are spending the next few weeks making improvements to our lovely building.

We have recently had lots of repairs and are now starting on the visuals... the entrance hall has been started today and as you can see from the before and after (well before and "during works") we have decided to brighten up the entrance hallway as it was really dark. So we have installed some lovely wooden cladding which will be painted white an gone with a nice bright blue for the top half... this theme will be continued upstairs too. we are really pleased with how its coming along and should be finished by the weekend!

We will also be refreshing some of the rooms, re-painting, re-decorating and re-styling to give it a much better feel.

We are also really happy that Mohsin who has worked for our parent company for a year, has decided to move in and be on hand for guests in case they need any help during their stay.

We will be opening up our calendars again real soon, once the re-fresh is finished... we have plumbers, electricians and other trades booked in next week for further improvement and I will keep you all updated as we go along.... ill also promise to keep the page updated more regularly.

I just want to say a big thank you to the lovely guests who stay with us (the nasty pasty guests not included)... and I'd just like to ask for the support of our past guests once again, let us finish these improvement and come stay with us, let me know what you thing of the changes!

Our new room rates will also be much simpler moving forward:

Double Rooms £50 per night
Twin / Superking Rooms £60 per night
Family Rooms £70 per night

room rates include a continental self service breakfast option which we are also looking to improve.
